Saddleworth Yanks 2017

wow, what a weekend. I thought i'd best get a head start on the day and set off around lunchtime to get there well ahead of the saturday night swing dance. As I arrived at Saddleworth, the main High Street was rammed full off people milling around and what a buzz it was. I got through the main street and headed up to the school where I was met by an officer of the law - the one and only Steve Holt looking resplendent in his vintage PC officer uniform - we had the usual hello chum banter and all laughing and great to catch up. Then into the school hall for a brilliant swing dance playing all the 40's and swing numbers along with Laura Brookes and even calling her chum Lilli Moore up for a little bit of Don't sit under the apple tree. We certainly wish Saddleworth Yanks all the best for their future events and thank them for allowing us to play for them on two wonderful occasions.
