

Whizzing around Brooklands
Blimey, both bands - Kal's Kats and Kalamazoo Dance Band are riding high on the crest of a wave at the moment - we have just played at Brooklands museum for their 1940's relived event and what a stormer that was - beautiful weather and a large marquee that was literally rammed full when we started playing - The organiser Steve said he has never seen the goods for sale stalls simply left empty with everyone trying to get into the marquee - what a fitting tribute to these fine

Wow, what a brilliant afternoon with The Kalamazoo Dance Band and Jayne Darling playing at the Bandstand at Nottingham Castle for the 40's knees up - We played a lovely mix of 40's Miller favourites along with a balance of some swing greats and then all topped off with a lovely helping of Jayne Darling and the band together for the finale. A great crowd to cheer us on and also attended by the Strictly jitterbug dancers who really turned up the heat to get everyone going. Just
