Whizzing around Brooklands
Blimey, both bands - Kal's Kats and Kalamazoo Dance Band are riding high on the crest of a wave at the moment - we have just played at Brooklands museum for their 1940's relived event and what a stormer that was - beautiful weather and a large marquee that was literally rammed full when we started playing - The organiser Steve said he has never seen the goods for sale stalls simply left empty with everyone trying to get into the marquee - what a fitting tribute to these fine musicians - one thing is for sure, we certainly want to do our very best at every event so much so that I personally consider and treat every one of them as though it was our very first event. Clearly you're only as good as your last gig and and we want to ensure that everyone is swinging from the rafters and chanting the band name for weeks - not for any ego, but purely because time is so precious and folks have choices as to where they spend that valuable time and if they choose to spend it with us, then the least we can do if provide the very best music and entertainment we can to at least take them away from the worries of the day for a few hours at least. In return, the audiences that we play for just happen to reciprocate in marvellous fashion and simply 'go for it' and this makes for a fantastic time together.
We love what we do and we love the fact that we make folks smile - thank you as always to our followers and the lovely people we meet along our journey - you make it so worthwhile. :-)
